     Parents can learn effective ways to help their middle and high school children succeed in the classroom by attending Three Essential Skills Your Student Needs to Kickstart the School Year, a Bright Horizons webinar on Tuesday, September 15, from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Learn three important skills that will help your kids work smarter, not harder, this year.
     
  2. Food and Fun with Latin Flavor
     Latin American foodies and those open to trying new flavors will enjoy the Sazón Latin Food Festival 2026: Philadelphia’s Taste of Latin American Food at Two Locals Brewing on Saturday, September 19, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The family-friendly affair will offer music, culture, and food from the Caribbean as well as Central and South America, with vegetarian and vegan options. Admission is free but you must RSVP or have a ticket for entry.
     
  3. Turning Cities into Nurturing Landscapes
     Renowned architect Benedetta Tagliabue brings her Building Environments of Care lecture to the Weitzman School of Design’s Meyerson Hall on Wednesday, September 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The lecture examines how architecture can foster well-being by transforming public spaces into places of comfort, healing, and belonging through renaturalization, adaptive reuse, and human-centered design. The event is free and open to the public.
