Faculty, staff, and postdocs often need to supplement their traditional benefits with voluntary options that best suit their lifestyle, financial situation, and personal preferences. Penn has partnered with Corestream to create Penn Benefit Extras, a menu of voluntary benefits that offers supplemental coverage to your regular medical insurance by providing a flat dollar amount to assist you with out-of-pocket expenses.

The voluntary benefits provided in the Penn Benefit Extras program are

• Critical Illness Insurance   
• Accident Insurance
• Hospital Indemnity Insurance
• Pet Health Care Options
• Identity Theft Protection

Faculty, staff, and postdocs can choose multiple voluntary benefits and have just one payroll deduction. You can select Critical Illness Insurance, Accident Insurance, and Hospital Indemnity Insurance only during Open Enrollment. Log into Workday and visit the Benefits, Comp and Pay Hub. To access the hub, click on "View All Apps" or "Menu" from your homepage, then select "Benefits, Comp and Pay Hub" from the Apps menu. 

You can select Pet Health Care Options and Identity Theft Protection anytime throughout the year by visiting the Penn Benefit Extras portal.
