Placement Agency Referral (formerly Outside Agency Referral Policy)
A Hiring Officer may decide to supplement the University's regular recruitment process with the services of a placement agency. The cost for such services is charged directly to the hiring department. Use of retained or contingent search agencies should be limited to approved vendors of the University. If there is a question about whether a search agency is University-approved, please consult with University Procurement and/or Human Resources.
In instances where an outside agency is being used to recruit academic administrators, permission must be obtained from the Provost.
The University hiring process must be followed for all applicants submitted by search agency.
