Transparency in Coverage Machine-Readable Files
The Transparency in Coverage rule, issued in 2020 by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, U.S. Department of Labor, and U.S. Department of the Treasury, requires health plans and health insurance issuers to publish pricing data as machine-readable files (MRF), effective July 1, 2022.
Insurance carriers can access University of Pennsylvania plan MRFs at the web pages listed below to see prices, negotiated rates, and historical net prices for covered items and services across various health systems.
