Complete the Core Actions to earn $100
If you’ve already completed the first Core Action--a biometric screening--then you’re ready for the next step, the online health assessment. Complete this quick, confidential questionnaire by August 31. Both Core Actions, the biometric screening and the online health assessment, are required to earn your first $100.
Go all the way with Bonus Actions!
Once you complete the Core Actions, you can still earn up to $100 extra for Bonus Actions.
If you received a qualifying health screening, such as annual physical, women's mammogram or colonoscopy, by June 30, 2017, you can earn points by submitting your Bonus Action proof form by August 31. You may also earn points for completing Penn Behavioral Health’s Mindfulness Series or qualifying physical activities using Proof of Bonus Actions Forms.
Additionally, you can complete qualifying on-campus wellness programs, StayWell online health programs, or three (3) Family Food nutrition counseling sessions to earn points through August 31.

That’s just what happened for Rachel Bastian and Genevieve Diorio-Markle earlier this year. Bastian, Administrative Director of Education for the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT), Perelman School of Medicine, was in need of an executive administrative assistant to support Dr. Emma Meagher, Vice Dean and Chief Clinical Research Officer.
Philadelphia resident Diorio-Markle had never worked in higher education before, but the AppleOne recruiter for the position saw strong parallels between ITMAT’s needs and Diorio-Markle’s skills. Bastian agrees. “When Genevieve interviewed, it was immediately obvious that she would be a good fit. She jumped into a new industry without hesitation and was eager to learn. Her skills and motivation exceeded our expectations. Most of all, she brings such a great attitude into the office every day, which is important to our team,” Bastian says.
The fit was so good that Diorio-Markle was invited to apply for a regular position. She knew there were many qualified candidates, but Diorio-Markle wasn’t worried. “AppleOne has a remarkably good intuition when it comes to matching candidates to open positions. I knew if this particular position didn’t pan out, they would help me find another opportunity,” she says.
As it turned out, Diorio-Markle was offered the position and began work as a full-time Penn employee on May 1, 2017. “I help support people who are at the forefront of science, conducting important research and making novel breakthroughs that actually make a difference in the world. On a day to day basis, I like that Penn is an institution that really values its employees, investing in their health and education,” she says.
