Make Words Work for You

pen on keyboardThe written word is mightier than ever. In today’s workplace, where words can be shared with the touch of a button, strong writing skills can spell the difference between understanding and confusion. Your emails, letters, proposals, online posts, and presentations are crucial to your success. Even if “writer” or “editor” isn’t in your job title, it pays to make words work for you wherever you use them. To give your words greater impact, register for Words at Work and learn the latest business writing techniques.

On June 3, 6, and 11, from 9am – 12pm, the three-part Words at Work seminar takes a no-nonsense, innovative approach to on-the-job writing. This class challenges outdated assumptions about written communication and deepens your understanding of language. As you try new writing tools, you’ll learn to change vague, lifeless writing into clear, powerful communication. And, most importantly, you’ll practice revising your own writing. After Words at Work, you’ll be ready to hit “send” with confidence.

To register for Words at Work, visit KnowledgeLink. Your department will be charged a nominal fee of $75 at the time of registration.
