What's the VIP Program?

The Be in the Know VIP Program offers you the opportunity to push yourself beyond the basic campaign design and maximum incentives. VIP stands for "Very Impressive Participant."

By earning 50,000 campaign points, and completing a biometric screening, you will be named a Be in the Know VIP for the 2024–2025 campaign year! 

What's in it for You?

Besides Be in the Know bragging rights, all confirmed VIPs will earn special recognition. You’ll also complete additional Ways to Earn activities this campaign year and take extra steps to positively impact your health (the true reward)! 

Become a Be in the Know VIP

If you earn 50,000 campaign points this year, as well as complete a biometric screening, you’ll be named a Be in the Know VIP.

Important Notes for the 2024-2025 Be in the Know VIP Program

  • The deadline for all Be in the Know 2024-2025 activity completions and submissions will be 11:59 p.m. EST on June 30, 2025.
  • The official list of 2024-2025 Be in the Know VIPs and information regarding special recognition will be announced in August 2025. Personify Health will contact all official Be in the Know 2024-2025 VIPs by email. 

When did Penn Healthy You Launch the VIP Program?

We introduced Be in the Know VIPs during the 2017–2018 campaign year and celebrated our first group of 64 honorees on October 23, 2018. Below is Elise Betz, a VIP from the 2023-2024 campaign year.

The Be in the Know program has changed my life in so many positive ways! At first, I was incentivized by [the rewards], and now, while that is still an incentive, I get so much more out of the program. I am happier, healthier—both physically and mentally—and the other benefits to my life are countless. Among them are staying on top of doctor/dentist/wellness visits, healthier eating, lower blood pressure, a workout regimen that I enjoy and stick to, a commitment to mindfulness, new friends across the University, and a greater awareness of social justice and belonging from the Daily Cards.

I participated in many challenges and found motivation and camaraderie while getting healthier and building positive habits. I have been a VIP for several years and the platform provides many options to earn points and is very easy to use. I encourage everyone to take advantage of Be in the Know and reap the benefits from its wide variety of offerings!
