Eligibility for Tuition Benefits

Full-time regular staff
(weekly and monthly paid)

Self: Eligible after working 6 months of full-time service

Spouse and dependent children: Eligible after 3 years of full-time service.

Full-time faculty and academic support staff in benefits-eligible position

(The Benefits Office will verify faculty appointment and benefits eligibility)

Self: Eligible after working 6 months of full-time service

Spouse and dependent children: Eligible after 3 years of full-time service.

Limited service staff member (weekly or monthly paid) in a position which is at least 35 hours a week, 9 or 10 months a year

Self: Eligible after working 6 months of full-time service

Spouse and dependent children: Eligible after 3 years of full-time service.

Part-time regular staff member (weekly or monthly paid)

Not Eligible

Part-time faculty member in a benefits-eligible position

(The Benefits Office will verify faculty appointment and benefits eligibility)

Not Eligible

Full-time visiting faculty

Not Eligible

All other employee types (such as temporary worker, occasional worker, student worker)

Not Eligible

Retirees

Eligible (self, spouse and eligible dependent children) if vesting requirements are met.
