There are many things to consider when you’re approaching retirement or enjoying your retirement—from medical benefits to retirement plan distributions. If you’re thinking about retiring from Penn, this site provides an overview of some important policies and benefits.

Benefits Annual Selection

Penn Benefits Annual Selection Period for retirees is an opportunity to review your current benefits and make changes for the upcoming calendar year.

The 2020 Benefits Annual Selection period will run from Monday, October 28 through Friday, November 8, 2019. Review the 2020 Retiree and Long-Term Disability Annual Selection Guide for current enrollment information and costs, medical plan comparison charts, what's new for 2020, and more.

All changes will be effective as of January 1, 2020.

2020 Annual Selection Fair

Faculty and staff who are retired or are on Long-Term Disability can participate in the 2020 Annual Selection Fair, which will be held on Monday, November 4 from 10am-2pm, Houston Hall, Golkin Room. Representatives from Blue Cross, Aetna, SilverScript, and Social Security will be available to consult with the retirees.

Be sure to keep your address current in Penn's records. There are three easy ways to update your address:

Changes to Retiree Billing

Effective April 1, 2019, retiree billing has moved from PayFlex to WageWorks. This change does not affect your current coverage or coverage eligibility in any way. See the WageWorks Direct Bill Q&A for more information about this change.
