Ready to Retire? What to Do First

Within 3-12 months before your expected retirement date, request an appointment with a Penn benefits specialist. We will explain the transition from Penn's active-employee medical benefits to Penn's retiree medical benefits. (If you don't have an expected retirement date but just want general information, please contact the Penn Benefits Solution Center at HRBenefits@hr.upenn.edu or 866-799-2329. Please do not submit an appointment request for general information.)

You can get an overview of Penn's retiree medical benefits by reading Penn's Retirement Planning Guide, which is linked below.

    Retiree Benefits Guides

The Retirement Planning Guide is for employees who are transitioning from active employee benefits to retiree benefits.

The Annual Selection Guide is for retirees who are covered by Penn's retiree benefits plans.
