Optional Life Insurance is available to part-time faculty and staff.
You can update your beneficiary information in WorkDay at any time.
Coverage and Cost
You can elect coverage up to twice that of your benefits base salary. You pay for Optional Life Insurance with after-tax dollars; the cost is based on your age and the amount of coverage you elect.
The table below shows the cost per $1,000 of coverage for each age range. Rates as of July 1, 2024
