Request for Retiree Benefits Appointment
Before Submitting an Appointment Request Form
The purpose of these appointments is to assist Penn employees who are within one year of retirement* with their transition to Penn's retiree benefits. Penn's Benefits Office cannot provide this same service to employees who are not within one year of retiring, because Penn's retiree benefits and possibly even Medicare might be significantly different by then.
How to Get Information About Retiree Benefits if You're More Than One Year from Retirement
To learn more about Penn's current retiree benefits, including rates, please refer to Penn's Retirement Planning Guide for 2025. Another helpful resource for planning for retirement is the semi-annual Thinking About Retirement event. This event is typically held in Fall (late September to mid October) and Spring (late May to mid June). Attendance is open to Penn employees regardless of how far they are from retirement.
If you're more than one year from retirement and have questions about the information in Penn's Retirement Planning Guide, Thinking About Retirement, or other Penn retiree benefits resources, please submit your questions to the Benefits Solution Center at answers@HealthAdvocate.com or 866-799-2329.

UPHS Employees
This webpage is for Penn's (the school's) retiree benefits. UPHS has separate benefits, which are administered by UPHS' HR department. For information about retiring form UPHS (HUP, Presbyterian, etc.), please visit www.pennmedicine.org/employee-resources.
*Retirement is defined as separating from service while meeting the Rule of 75. The Rule of 75 determines an employee's eligibility for Penn's retiree benefits.
