Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Mark your calendar! This year's Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is Thursday, April 26.
Registration begins April 16 at 9am through our online course catalog.

Bring your child to Penn for a day of education and exploration! Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day will be held on Thursday, April 26. Join us as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of this annual event that provides enriching opportunities for chidren nationwide.

We’ll inspire your kids (ages 9–15) with over a dozen learning activities, like how to make your own book, what it takes to be a millionaire, and an insider’s look at law enforcement careers. You can also plan activities on your own to celebrate this special day with your child. Click here for a list of ideas.

Important Guidelines

  • Once registration begins, you can register for as many larger-venue activities as you like.
  • Please note that some activities take place in small venues which can accommodate a limited number of people. These popular sessions tend to fill up quickly, so in the interest of fairness, faculty and staff will be limited to registering for only one of these small venue events.
  • If you'd like to bring more than one child to an activity, you must request approval in advance by contacting Human Resources at 215-573-2471 or .
  • You must have supervisory approval to participate in this event during work hours.
  • You must accompany your young guests to all activities throughout the day.

  • Beginner Rock Climbing
  • How the Brain Works
  • Science Experiments with the Society of Women Engineers
  • Be a Dentist for a Day
  • Tour of WXPN, Penn's Public Radio Station
