MINIMUM WAGE

The minimum hourly wage paid to all staff, including part time, temporary, and limited service employees, is regulated by the U.S. Department of Labor federal minimum wage or the Pennsylvania state minimum wage established by the state, whichever is higher. Currently, the minimum wage in Pennsylvania is higher than the federal minimum wage. The Pennsylvania state minimum wage is $7.15/hour, effective July 1, 2007. It will increase to $7.25/hour, effective July 1, 2009.
