Full Time Faculty and Academic Support Staff in a benefits eligible title (The Benefits Office will verify Faculty Appointment and benefits eligibility)	For Self:  Eligible upon appointment For Spouse and Dependent Children:  Eligible after 3 years of full-time service.
Limited Service Staff Member (weekly or monthly paid) in a position which is at least 35 hours/week, 9 or 10 months/year	For Self:  Eligible upon appointment For Spouse and Dependent Children:  Eligible after 3 years of full-time service.
Part Time Regular Staff Member (weekly or monthly paid)	Not Eligible
Part Time Faculty Member in a Benefits Eligible title (The Benefits Office will verify Faculty Appointment and benefits eligibility)	Not Eligible
Full Time Visiting Faculty	Not Eligible
All other employee types (e.g. temporary worker, occasional worker, student worker)	Not Eligible
Retirees	Eligible (for self, spouse and eligible dependent children) if vesting requirements are met.
