Returning to work after having a baby takes some careful planning, especially when you’re breastfeeding. But Penn’s Nursing Mothers Program can help make the transition back to work a smooth one.

From nursing and lactation space across campus to flexible break times so you can manage your needs, Penn is committed to supporting your roles as both a mother and a working professional.

Eligibility

All full- and part-time faculty and staff are eligible to participate in the Nursing Mothers Program.

Nursing and Lactation Space

You have access to private nursing and lactation space across campus as well as guidelines for identifying and setting up this type of space.

Break Times

Flexible break times can help you manage your nursing needs while you work.

Preparing to Return to Work

We have plenty of tips and resources to help you transition back to work more easily.
