Driving directions to Penn Family Day Parking and the Tailgate Party Location
Driving West
- Drive West along Walnut Street into University City.
- Turn right onto 33rd Street for one block.
- Turn right onto Chestnut Street and continue two blocks.
- Turn right onto 31st Street and proceed one block, under the Walnut Street bridge.
- At the intersection, turn left into the designated Penn Family Day Parking Area (show your faculty or staff PennCard for free parking).
- From the parking area, walk across the street to the Penn Family Day tailgate party, located in the parking lot right next to the Levy Tennis Pavilion.
Driving East
- Drive East down Chestnut Street.
- Turn right onto 31st Street and proceed one block, under the Walnut Street bridge.
- At the intersection, turn left into the designated Penn Family Day Parking Area (show your faculty or staff PennCard for free parking).
- From the parking area, walk across the street to the Penn Family Day tailgate party, located in the parking lot right next to the Levy Tennis Pavilion.
Walking Directions from the Tailgate Party Location to Franklin Field and the Penn Football Game
- From the Tailgate Party Location in the parking lot next to the Levy Tennis Pavilion, walk up the staircase leading to the Paley Bridge (see “footbridge” marked on the map below).
- Cross the Paley Bridge* to enter the parking lot next to Franklin Field.
- From the parking lot, enter Franklin Field Gate 3 (immediately on your left) and enjoy the game!
Walking Directions to the Tailgate Party Location
From South Street next to Franklin Field
- From South Street, go under the arches on the east side of Franklin Field (closest to the South Street Bridge) to the Paley Bridge on your right.
- Cross over the Paley Bridge* and walk down the staircase to the Penn Family Day Tailgate Party, located in the parking lot next to the Levy Tennis Pavilion.
From 33rd Street next to Franklin Field
- From 33rd Street, enter the parking lot next to Franklin Field (where the Penn Family Day Tailgate Party has been held in past years).
- Follow the marked path through Lot #5 alongside Franklin Field, until you reach the Paley Bridge at the back of the lot (see “footbridge” marked on the map below).
- Cross over the Paley Bridge* and walk down the staircase to the Penn Family Day Tailgate Party, located in the parking lot next to the Levy Tennis Pavilion.
*Wheelchair and Stroller Accessible Routes
Please note that the walking portions of the routes described above may require you to carry strollers at certain points, and are not wheelchair accessible. Remember: Free parking is available for Penn Family Day directly across from the Tailgate Party site, in the Postal Lands Parking Area (see directions above). Just show your faculty/staff PennCard.
