Culture and The Arts at Penn
Penn's 262 acre campus includes a number of cultural opportunities, including Morris Arboretum, Annenberg Center, Arthur Ross Gallery, and The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Members of the Penn community can experience everything from classical music to botanical gardens, all within footsteps of your work location.
Athletic Facilities and Recreation
The student and staff recreation complex offer opportunities to play tennis, workout in the gym, take aerobic and yoga classes, or golf and tennis lessons from University coaches. With a full range of collegiate athletic teams, sports fans can cheer on the home teams in one of our many facilities such as Franklin Field, one of the the oldest collegiate football field still in use and the country's first double-decker stadium.
Campus and Community Resources
Situated in West Philadelphia, the community offers a wealth of retail stores, restaurants, and unique opportunities. What kind of food do you like? We have it all -- Thai, Middle eastern, Japanese, Vegetarian, Italian, Vietnamese, Chinese, and even fast food. Retail shopping is available from all areas of campus including clothing, jewelry, books, and flowers. There are even banks and hair salons right on campus.
Featuring accommodations in the four-diamond tradition and gourmet dining, The Inn at Penn is located in the heart of the Penn Campus. Surrounding the Inn at Penn is the University Bookstore and other retail shopping, including coffee shops, the Faculty Club and outdoor table areas, making this area of campus the perfect "think space" for your work or recreational use.
