You never know when an accident or injury will come your way. But you can take steps to reduce the risk. If you're an Independence Blue Cross (IBC) plan member, take advantage of their safety program to help protect yourself and your family—and get cash back for doing so.
When you take a safety or first aid course, IBC will reimburse you up to $25 annually. You can choose any course offered by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute.
You'll also get money back when you buy a bike helmet for yourself or your family members. IBC will reimburse you up to $25 for each helmet. Just make sure your helmet has a sticker that shows it meets the Consumer Product Safety Commission standard or is certified by the Snell Memorial Foundation.
