Polish Your Work Performance
April 2011

Performance appraisals are an ideal way to enhance your job performance. Whether you’re a veteran employee or new to the workforce, an effective performance appraisal opens the lines of communication and gives you valuable feedback about your work. That’s why it’s important for you to participate in this annual process.

Both staff members and supervisors can benefit from the performance appraisal process—from providing feedback on job expectations, performance, and accomplishments to setting goals for the upcoming year. They’re also a great way to foster and encourage professional development opportunities.

This year, performance appraisals for all eligible regular staff should be completed and entered into the Performance Appraisal Database (PAD) by June 1. Materials for the 2011 appraisal cycle are available here. For assistance and training with the performance appraisal process, contact Human Resources at 215-898-6093.
