Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)

If you are participating in the Basic, Supplemental, Employee, or Optional Life Insurance Plans, you will automatically receive Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D) at no cost to you. This feature pays benefits of up to two times your annual benefits base salary (maximum of $125,000) if you die or have other losses directly caused by an accident (some exclusions apply).

Who is eligible?

You are eligible for AD&D Insurance if you are participating in the Basic, Supplemental, Employee, or Optional Life Insurance Plans.

When are you eligible?

How do you get coverage?

Penn automatically gives you AD&D coverage when you elect Basic, Supplemental, Employee, or Optional Life Insurance. During your new employee eligibility period or the annual Open Enrollment period, you may enroll for life insurance online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Penn’s online benefits enrollment site. You may also be eligible to make specific changes to your coverage at other times as the result of an employment status change or a qualifying life event change, such as a change in marital status or the arrival of a new child. You can update your beneficiary information online at any time through the same site. If you have questions about Penn’s life or AD&D Insurance options, or about how to make your benefits elections online, please contact the Penn Benefits Center at 1-888-PENN-BEN (1-888-736-6236).

Who pays?

Penn pays for AD&D Insurance.
