MetLife Preferred Dentist Program (PDP)

The MetLife PDP, administered by Metropolitan Life Insurance (MetLife), offers an optional network of preferred providers that you can use to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses.  You also have the freedom to use the dentist of your choice.

  • When you use a MetLife preferred provider dentist, you pay a percentage of the negotiated fee and therefore pay less out-of-pocket.
  • When you use a non-preferred provider dentist, the plan will reimburse you the stated percentage of the UCR for services.

Please note that certain pre-existing condition exclusions may apply (e.g., an appliance for which an impression was made before you become covered by the plan; a replacement of a denture within 5 years of when that denture was installed).

You can obtain more information about MetLife by contacting MetLife at 1-800-942-0854, or visiting the Web site at http://www.metdental.com.  To learn which MetLife dentists are in your area, call 1-800-474-PDP1 (1-800-474-7371).
